6 Months Old
Miss Kenneth Josephine is 6 months old today.
I feel like I've known her forever, but in the same breath I can't believe it's already been 6 months.
6 months of sleepless nights.
6 months of being her only food source.
6 months of learning how to do everything one-handed.
6 months of rocking, shushing and bouncing for a few moments of peace.
6 months of knowing the most incredible love I have ever experienced.
Dear Kenneth,
I can't believe how fast you've grown! You can roll both ways and are sitting up on your own. You always want to be standing and get mad when I have to put you down. You have to be held facing out so you can see the world around you. You started saying "mamamamama" about a week ago and even though I know you don't know what it means, my heart still melts every time. You're in your big girl carseat now, so you only scream bloody murder sometimes while were in the car. It's actually a big improvement. You aren't even close to sleeping through the night, but that's okay. I love our middle of the night snuggles - even when you make me get up and move to the rocking chair. You've been trying some real food the past week or so and I think you love it. Not that you actually eat any of it, but you sure do like to smush it all over the place; except pickles, you LOVE a good pickle. Books and bubbles are some of your favorite things; and basically whatever you can shove in your mouth. I think you're going to be getting some teeth in soon! You love your Daddy so much and get a huge smile on your face whenever he gets home from work. We are so lucky that we get to be your parents and I can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings us.
Love,
Momma
